Barrie – Barrie Canoe and Kayak Club

New for 2019 we are excited to be returning to Barrie, Ontario following a three year hiatus. Our Barrie event has always been one of our best attended races of the season, due to the central location and great paddling on Kempenfelt Bay.
The Barrie Canoe and Kayak Club will be hosting us this year, at their home base, at the Southshore Community Centre. Note that parking is paid meter parking in the parking lot at South Shore Centre, so bring change or a credit card. Once parked, it is a short walk down the hill to the waterside of the building to registration.
Here’s the days schedule:
10:00-11:30 on site registration
11:30 Race Meeting
12:00 Race(s) Start
1:45 Awards by our Prize Sponsors, Olukai, Kaenon, Georgian Bay Spirit Co. and Epic North Coffee Roasters.
Lunch following awards (location TBD. Not included in registration).
There are several race categories and distances. Elite (8-10 KM), Open (5 KM), Novice (2 KM) and Youth (<1 KM). Everyone who is interested will have an opportunity to participate.
