The Great Lakes Paddle Games are ON! With a beautiful light South – side shore wind we’ll have some beauty light downwind conditions. With the light wind at your back, there will be some very light texture so you’re going to have to earn your bumps and connections but it’ll be fun!
Please read below for the 2 board drop off points and for racers meeting at Station Beach. We will have West Shore Banners and a volunteers at each point so you know you’re at the right spot for each drop.
This will be a true Point A to Point B Downwind so please know your experience level for conditions
What has to happen before racers meeting and race start:
8:30 – 9:00am board drop off at your race classes starting point
(Open racers at the 10th concession/boiler beach road, Elite racers start at the point Clark lighthouse)
9:30am racers meeting at station beach Kincardine
9:45 coordinate your ride shuttles back to starting points at racers meeting
10:15 pipers send off at point Clark gazebo for elite racers
ELITE class racers downwind from Point Clarke to Kincardine – 15km
OPEN class racers downwind from Concession 10 to Kincardine – 6 km
***NOTE***
Please make the racers meeting at 9:30am to coordinate shuttle rides back to the starting point. If you have already registered and you are running behind go straight to your respective starting points – BUT please try and make it to the racers meeting at 9:30am sharp at Station Beach Kincardine. Races start at respective starting points at 10:30 sharp

If you are on time, drop your boards and paddles at Point Clarke lighthouse or the beach at 10th concession/Boiler beach road intersection, drive to Station Beach Kincardine. Park your vehicle at Station Beach Kincardine organize and coordinate a shuttle ride back to your start point at the racers meeting.
Parking at Station Beach Kincardine:
Pull into station beach and park to the left after the bend. ***NOTE you are not allowed to park near the harbour anymore**** you must park to the left(south) when you come around bend into station beach(left at the little yellow fry shack onto the grass / gravel area and park to the south parking lot)
We’re excited to be heading back to Kincardine for the Great Lakes Paddle Games, hosted by West Shore.
Lake Huron can offer up some pretty epic conditions. Flat water or waves, Kincardine is a great paddling destinations. Race details will be shared closer to the event, as the forecast for race day will determine whether this will be a course race off the beach at Station Beach, or a downwind race (with a longer course for elite racers and a short course for open).
